My husband and I are back from a 10 week road trip to Oregon and Washington. We had good times visiting with his family in Idaho and Oregon, then spent weeks on the coast in a number of towns. Coming from warm sunny Orlando, we were grateful we brought lots of layers because the temps were mostly in the 50s in April and May, down into the 40s when the wind blew. And it blew, especially on the beaches.
The beaches are gorgeous, some wide open and bare, others strewn with all sizes of driftwood, some mind bogglingly huge. No wonder they say to keep an eye open for what’s coming in with the tide. You don’t want to be in the path of any of those big dead trees when they’re sailing in on a wave.
