How are you doing? If you’re on a rocky part of the road, feeling knocked back on your heels, if you’re having thoughts of less than, unsure, shaky about what’s next, don’t give up. You’ll get through this and come out stronger.
If your negative inner voice is complaining about what you did or didn’t do, and it’s stuck on repeat, I encourage you to hit mute.
Listen for and pay attention to your positive inner voice. The one that encourages you to keep going, try a different approach, ask questions, build relationships. Your inner guide will nudge you to think, plan, visualize and listen, definitely listen.
When I listen to my quieter inner voice, it always steers me in the right direction. I bet yours does, too. The key is allowing for moments to listen for it. We have so much going on, we’re pulled in many directions. Distraction is a constant companion. It takes effort to – even momentarily – quiet your mind. If you can’t, then allow it to explore. Write your thoughts. See what surfaces, you may be surprised.
Your inner critic will always be there. Louder. More frequent. Opinionated. Persistent. But, your positive inner voice is resilient. Even if you’ve ignored it for a while, it will be there for you. Pay attention to it. It will steer you through rough waters.
You are where you are for a reason. Allow more of you to unfold. Do what you are meant to do. You are resilient. Each time you are tested, you will learn and grow from it. You are developing wisdom. Yes, you are. You have more wisdom today than you did in the past, don’t you? I bet much of it came from things not going smoothly.
Keep going. You have more within you. Allow it to shine through.
