| “Do not wait for leaders; do it alone, person to person.” Mother Teresa When I read this quote, I thought of how Mother Teresa felt compelled to leave her teaching order and, instead, tend to the poorest of the poor dying alone on the streets of Calcutta. On her own, little by little, day by day, she created a movement. It made me think of U.S. Senators who, despite significant partisanship, have reached across the aisle to figure out what they could do together for the good of the country. I thought of clients who’ve reached out to talk with someone instead of continuing to assume what they’re thinking, or waiting for someone else to make the call.
